Children of today's generation are the ones who will inherit our planet. Sad to say, there is a possibility that they will not enjoy the benefits of having a healthy environment like our ancestors had and what we lucky have as of now. That is the reason why many environmental activists actively show their advocacy in proclaiming environment awareness to the public.

Moreover, we should also teach our children on how to take care of our nature. Parents and teachers must guide these children in making their planet healthy and alive until the time that they have children of their own. However, there are some complains from these people that children don't even fancy the idea of being a friend to the environment. It should not come as a surprise for us after all. With the advance technology we have today, it hugely influenced our children to pay less attention to their surroundings.

There are few ways though to make them participate in the call of environment awareness.

1. Organize a "green party"- the word party will surely make them jump for joy. But then there is the other word which is green and it is usually associated with the word environment. Based on some studies, people tend to stay away from events when they hear the word environment. For some of them, it means a boring and dull party, like talking about trees, rivers and anything with regards to our eco-system. So it is safe to call it a "green party".
2. Familiarized them with word "eco-friendly"- yes, those two words should always be heard when teaching children about environment awareness. Give them eco-friendly toys and for sure they will eagerly reach them out from you. When it's time to eat, hand them down eco-friendly plates and utensils while reminding them that they are doing their part in taking care of our nature just by those cutleries.
3. Let them enjoy and have fun- we don't have to push them so far in giving importance to our environment. Children should enjoy and discover it for themselves.

Early Start on Environment Awareness

If we can guide them at such young age, our children will reap the fruit of their awareness in loving and taking care of our natural world.
